GTA 6 release date could be postponed

In December 2023, Rockstar Games released the first official trailer for GTA 6 and fans are eagerly awaiting a second trailer on one of the most highly anticipated video game, though no official confirmation has been provided. GTA 6 is expected to have a Fall 2025 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, as reports suggest a potential launch on September 17, 2025, however, PC gamers may have to wait until 2026.

GTA 6 release is an important event for the GTA 6 fans, therefore Rockstar’s ongoing silence has led to a lot of speculations. Some of the speculations are stating that one of the reasons behind the silence could be company’s high standards, as hurrying the development process can lead to failure of the product. Other speculations are suggesting that the silence is a marketing strategy, as the company is purposely leaking information only to maintain interest without making any official statements. Development and technical issues could also be the cause of the delay, as it is not simple and it takes time to create a game of this scale.

The standard edition of GTA 6 is rumored to cost around $100 and the special editions with additional content may have higher price. GTA 6 is expected to feature ray tracing, AI upscaling (DLSS/FSR) and advanced physics. Minimum requirements include 16GB RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or an AMD Radeon RX 6600XT GPU, while the recommended requirements may demand 32GB RAM with an SSD with DirectStorage support and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or an AMD Radeon RX 6800XT GPU.

GTA 6 marks a return to the iconic Vice City, Rockstar’s fictional take on Miami. Fans can expect dynamic characters, iconic locations, improved graphics and more realistic gameplay aspects.
