Zcash (ZEC) Nvidia CUDA GTX 1070 miner Getting started How to mine

1. Make your wallet
Go to https://zcash4win.com/ download zcash4win and install it. After you done and program run for the first time the blockchain synchronization will start. While the synchronization is running and before reach 100% your CPU will be used and may slow your windows process. After reaching 100% the CPU process will be back to normal. On i7 4790 processor took me around 6 hours.

2. Download the best current miner for Zcash/Equihash algorithm – https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1707546.0 and extract it.

3. Mining pool
Go to https://zcash.flypool.org/ and follow the instruction “How to connect” below. In your extracted miner you will find a couple .bat files. Choose one of them and set your configurations. You should write –server address, –user which is your wallet address given from the zcache4win(click in ‘own address tab’ to find it), pass which is not required just enter some random text and some additional parameters. See the How to connect section. Full example:
miner.exe –server eu1-zcash.flypool.org –user t1NF6yLUxAAttibU8mzfX86o8aWLcqF38DX.rig1 –pass x –port 3333 –cuda_devices 0

After that save and run the .bat file and after 10 second you should see the running mining proccess. If you want to check your statistic go to https://zcash.flypool.org/(your wallet address)
Full example:
https://zcash.flypool.org/miners/t1eh2iNAM66VLaZcfCxUqxWYtqv6iwkzEnq

Also additional you can download android apk to watch you statistics and go to https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zcash/ to get information about Zcash(ZEC) price. If you want to see what is the best coin to mine of your video card go to http://whattomine.com/coins?dataset=Main

4. Video card settings
If you want you can overclock your video card to mine faster or you can down your video card power consumption and core clock to save power. You can down the core clock but you can increase the memory clock for example. It’s depends of what you want to do exactly. I advice you to test different setting and choose the best you can get comparing sols/s, card temperatures, card clock, memory clock and power consumption.

Passive VS active CPU cooling of Xeon l5420. Silent computer

This is my home server and i’m trying to make it completely silent. Currently the only spinning fan is on my processor cooler. I have connected the fan with a fan controller to reduce the RPM to 1000 and it is incredible silent.

My power supply is completely silent. I broth the Corsair RM 650x and by the specification of this power supply the fan isn’t spinning at all, when the power consumption is below 200W. My entire configuration does not exceed more than 60 – 70W. The model of my processor is Xeon L5420 and by the specification the max TDP is 50W. That’s make my system super low power consumption.

As you can see further in my video the max temp of my CPU fan cooler with 1000 RPM is not more than 67 degrees and I will test the temps with that cooler which doesn’t have fan and I will try to make the system complete silent

Overclocked Pentium E2140/2GB DDR2/X1650 tutorial benchmark test of League of Legends

The Stock clock of the Pentium E2140 is 1600mhz. Without any problems and issues it can be clocked above 2000mhz. In this video I have clocked and tested the processor at 1920mhz and 2140mhz. The game that I have tested is League of Legends and I don’t know why but the overall performance in the game was better when the processor was clocked at 1920mhz. You can also compare the fps in the video and write a comment what you think. Also I tried the game with more ram, but I couldn’t find any difference in the gameplay.
I tried to change the GPU with RX 560 and GTX 1070 just for fun but the mainboard didn’t recognize the video cards.

Operation system windows 10.
Installed windows 10 driver for the GPU X1650

Mainboard: MSI 945PL Neo (MS-7236)
CPU: Intel® Pentium® Processor E2140 (overclocked to 1920mhz and 2140mhz)
RAM: 2GB 800mhz DDR2
GPU: AMD Radeon X1650 512MB
PSU: Zelman 450W
HDD: WD red (1TB, 7200 RPM, SATA-III 16MB Cache)
